We now are owners of a 2008 Polaris RZR. Fun. Also just updated the cargo trailer to accommodate it and moved some stuff around to shift the weight back a little. Created a computer work station in the front area and now have room for the mountain bikes.
Summer will be mostly spent putting up a 24x36 pole barn to store our agricultural equipment. End Of July will find us in Central Oregon and will give another update after that trip.

Late June 08 update
Heading towards the last week of June 08 and our current challenge is finding people to watch the property for us. Found one couple who full time in and Arctic Fox 29v and they have agreed to stay here for June/July of 09. Might have a lead on one more couple.
Planning for this trip is fun. We will do test run in late July to Central Oregon.
Putting up a 24x36 pole barn to store the tractor and other small farm equipment. The plan is to have power from it to a post in the field where we will have a pull through driveway with electrical hook up for at least 2 rv's.
Started some minor excavation this week and a track hoe will be here next week to level the site and dig the holes for the barn. More next week.

The start
The purpose of this blog is to begin the documentation of a long planned trip North by Bob and Betsy Nelson. Hopefully we will leave Cove Oregon around the first week of June, 2009. Just one year away.
WE plan to drive our 2001 Chev pickup with an Arctic Fox Camper, pull a 14' cargo trailer with an RZR inside, bikes, boats, kayaks, and stuff. If diesel will remain under $10 per gallon, we might just make it.
9000 miles in Alberta, BC, NWT, Yukon, Alaska. We plan to purchase local beer and wine with the sole purpose of supporting the local economies. ;-)
